Although YELP reviews are limited to a high of 5 stars, Piazza Pie and proprietor, Rex Gelert, are a PERFECT TEN in my book!  Thanks to the hard work, talent, imagination and culinary skills of Rex, my retirement party in June 2017 was much more than a mere celebration; it was a unique, extraordinary and amazing event that transported me and my guests to a small, Italian village, and left us all feeling as if we had been whisked away on a wonderful Roman holiday for the night.  
    Rex's pizza was fabulous, and received accolades from all the party guests.  The selection of five, different pizzas that we chose was perfect, and the diversity suited everyone's tastes perfectly.  However, it was the combination of this incredible, freshly-baked pizza, piping hot from an authentic, wood-fired oven, combined with the setting and scenery created by Rex, that transformed the party from terrific food to utter magic!!  
    Rex worked tirelessly to achieve that magic result.  He built sets, climbed up on a hot roof to secure them, and brought all the little touches that truly transformed our yard into a realistic, Italian masterpiece.  Rex was always professional, open to new ideas, easy to communicate with, reliable, trustworthy and 200% committed to creating an incredible experience for me and my guests.  
    The universal response I heard from my guests was that mine was one of the best, if not the best, party they had ever been to, and one they would remember for the rest of their lives.  I, too, will always remember this party - and be forever grateful to Rex and Piazza Pie for making it possible.
